From the Dump Bump, I made the mistake of following a couple of hard-cores. "We'll just go down the trail a bit and turn around". Okay - but they kept going when we had to stop to clean some crud out of the carb. So Damien and I trundled along on the Hell's Revenge trail, not having any idea of difficulty or length. It got dark and we ended up navigating via flashlights along a difficult trail that is known as being hard to follow. We were in good shape and doing very well until right at the end - an overhanging rock and a tippy spot planted the windscreen against this rock hard. I'm amazed it didn't break. We pushed the truck sideways a touch with the jack and folded the windshield down, much to the amusement (bemusement?) of the Suzuki driver who had joined us. It turns out that Damien, the Irishman who was accompanying me, happens to be the Irish national trials champion! He was very polite about my driving but he did have a few choice comments on the level of exposure involved in some of the spots...
