The Bloody Knuckles Pub grille badge.

This is the design that was chosen. These were put into production and distributed. They're no longer available but if you want the history of the badge, here ya go.

Series II, the limited edition Bloody Knuckles Pub badge.

And the newcomers.

From Keith Tanner

"Versions 3.1a and 3.1b. These are explorations of v3. There are a LOT of oval badges out there in LR land. There are also a couple of different typefaces to play with legibility. Personally, I like 3.1a because of how it could be produced and the simplicity. Basically, it's only two colours - red and black. The silver is the metal of which the badge is cast. "
version 3.1a

version 3.1b "Version 3.1b would have a third colour for the ring. Also, there will be production problems with the grille if done this way".

Keith version 3. Simple. It would be easy to produce and clear. Looks a little Jolly Roger, too :) Preferably, this would be cast with the outside border being raised with indented letters. The springs would be raised as well. Those are the bolt heads for the fasteners on the sides. This would work well on a glass, t-shirt, etc.

Keith version 2.1. This is a simplified version of a previous suggestion. The LR logo was used instead of a picture of a truck (assuming this may actually adorn a Rover, that might be overkill) and the springs were cleaned up for more realistic production:

Todd Schlemmer
"With a nod to the original "heritage" LRO badge (read LR image blatantly swiped), elements we all share in common: Land Rover, Earth, and Sky. "Is that an 88? 109? LHD? RHD? Color's off, BUT THAT'S MY TRUCK!" Imagine preferred lettering round perimeter, easily produced in 4/5 colors."

Todd Schlemmer, part II
"Fight Pub! If you haven't seen Fight club let me tell you it's not a Land Rover movie. It's about values, self-doubt, societal assumptions, cultured conflict, seeing things differently, delusions, loneliness, peer groups, hurting yourself... Waitaminnit - maybe it IS a Land Rover movie!"

Todd Schlemmer, part III
"Who can't use another spare?"

From John Tackley. "I've been thinking about an alternative badge design...take a look at the attached and offer an opinion...(such as...should the URL read "LANDROVER" or "KOAN"...you could add elements of your various designs to it, as well. "

Other designs

These are not BKP designs, but examples of what has been done elsewhere. The first two were produced by the fellow who did the "series II" BKP design above and provided by Rich Williams.

"The oval shape I believe is the least expensive badge to produce for whatever reason. The crown is optional - and if it were up to me I would pass on it. "
